Denim Trend: Frayed Hem Jeans

The one thing about denim is that it's never not going to be in fashion. Skinny jeans to mom jeans, patchwork to biker - every season, the catwalks bring us a new way to wear it (which is not necessarily always on our legs) and every season, I become a sucker for what the high street has to offer.

I spotted these frayed hem jeans in Bershka's newsletter (the be all and end alls of our bank accounts) and couldn't help but instantly snap them up, bearing in mind the mid-heel/glove shoe trend I've also heavily bought into recently and thinking about what an extremely lovely pairing they'd make. *HEADS UP* The oh-so-popular SIMONE shoes which, may I add, I also own in both colours have now been restocked on ASOS: black here, apricot here - now don't say I never give you anything!

It's not noticeable in the photographs but the shirt (actually a dress) has a suede feel to touch. As the UK sun doesn't tend to bring its friend 'warmth' along with it the majority of the time, I wasn't quite ready to whip out the legs so soon, so, always a lover of longer hems, I figured I'd complement the blue tones in the frays and pop these two on together. That is how technical we get on Liv in Fashion - FRAY CO-ORDINATION! (this is a thing). As it happens, the sun was an absolute blinder this day and wearing suede appeared to be a school boy error.
