Scarf Top

I am wearing
Scarf bodysuit (from shop in Barbados, see below for alternative) // ASOS trousers // Nelly shoes

Just a quick update today, as I'm aware I've been slacking on the outfit post front (they will resume soon, big sorries). I didn't initially intend to pop these pics on the blog, as I'd roped mum in to take them hurriedly on our way out and, as she says herself, she doesn't exactly scream 'photographer' when it comes down to camera knowledge! (If you're reading this mum, I love you). Though, despite the rushing and the fact that these were taken on an iPhone 5, I was pleasantly surprised with ma's skills and don't actually hate the turn-out!

It was my 21st on Wednesday (only spent it with Drake and Jourdann Dunn, no biggie) and with it being in the middle of the week, there wasn't a lot of time around the parents' work schedules for them to take me out when they'd have liked, so we had a lovely meal and (possibly one too many) cocktails on Saturday evening instead.

I've had this bodysuit for at least 4 or 5 years and must have only worn it twice. It was only the other month, mid-clear out, that I rediscovered it and was so thankful I didn't get rid during all those moments of contemplation - if you've ever had a clear out regret, you'll feel me here. Annoyingly (yes, I'm doing that thing), this wasn't an easy one to find alternatives for, but thanks to Hermès, I think I've come up with a solution that'll soften the blow...and you don't even need to spend a penny! That's assuming you own a scarf or two already - if not, invest! They are the most versatile accessory you could ever own.

Some of my current favourites:
1 // 2 // 3

If scarves are already your thing, my good friend Maisy has just started her own silk scarf company with the most beautiful, hand-drawn floral designs. She hasn't yet got a website but watch this space! For now, you can find her here: Maisy Made.

You may be wondering why I haven't mentioned my sandals...it's because I'm feeling they deserve a whole separate blog post, perhaps along with some of my other favourite birthday presents?! All I'm gunna say for now (as if I haven't praised them enough already) is thank the lord for Nelly shoes! I've lost count of how many pairs I own...

See you soon,
Liv
